February 08, 2010
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of Upsala, MN met in Regular session on Monday, February 8, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. in the Upsala Fire Hall. In Attendance: Mayor Dan Cheney; Council Rollie Johnson, Robert Maciej, Joan Olson, Bethany Malisheske. Clerk: Michele Caron. Sheri Johnson. Visitors: Rob Schumer St Marys.
Call to Order by Mayor Cheney at 7:00 p.m.
Agenda-Approved.
Minutes
January Minutes reviewed, Mm by Johnson to accept as written, second by Maciej; unanimously carried.
Visitors-
City engineer Don Anderson did not attend due to the snowy weather.
Rob Schumer St Marys gambling permits for bingo-approved.
Ordinances and Resolutions-
2010-02 Deputy Clerk appointment-Sheri Johnson
Maintenance Report-
Water and Sewer report given.
Fire Department Report-none
Planning Commission-Cheney
There were no minutes as the meeting was cancelled with proper notice for no business, next meeting March 3, 2010 at 6 p.m. in the Upsala Fire Hall immediately following the public hearing on Oak Avenue.
Upsala Community Development Commission-Maciej/Malisheske
Reviewed Planning Commission minutes from January-Rollie attended and gave an overview of Oak Avenue.
Heritage Festival-Mike will be co-chair but Bethany will be stepping down.
Recreation Board-Johnson
Discussion on alternates to meetings
Recommended appointment of members to council-resolution next month
Remodeling discussion-starting soon- Parking lot upgraded this year?
Toning Plus contract signed for this year
Next meeting March 2, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall.
Unfinished Business
Water/Sewer Rates-Clerk has not raised them yet and will get them on a billing as soon as possible. Bills will be late due to training the new Deputy Clerk.
New Business
Next meeting Monday March 8th at 7:00 p.m. in the Upsala City Hall
Financial Reports
Bills audited and ordered paid in the amount of $18,826.35.
