In the heart of Central Minnesota lies the town of Upsala– located in the southwestern corner of Morrison County on Minnesota Highway 238. Originally settled in the 1870s by Swedish Protestants, the area has become a blend of cultural backgrounds, as more people move from the larger cities into the rural area. Upsala is home to many great businesses (check out our business page for a complete list).

Upsala serves a rich agricultural area of healthy family farms and an enjoyable recreational area with a variety of service related and small manufacturing businesses. Many families choose to live in the area with its quality lifestyle and easy commute to major shopping areas and employment along the I-94 and Hwy 10 corridors to St. Cloud and the Twin Cities Metro. Area health services and nationally recognized colleges and universities are easily accessible in the area.

As of January 23, 2026 the City of UPsala has transitioned to a new billing website. click on the above link where you will be redirected to their website, sign up for New User and follow prompts or you can check out as a guest. You can use this tool to pay your utility bills, or view your past bills and any payments you have made. New users please register to receive access to this service or log in with your username and password. If you have any trouble registering for Bill & Pay please contact your city clerk for assistance.
