The city licenses LP Sanitation out of Long Prairie, MN. Recycling is part of their service. They provide bins to residents. Please check out LPSanitation.com for more information on their recycling program or give them a call (320) 732-6464.

Please use the below schedule for your garbage and recycling dates, if anything changes, please check on All Roads Lead to Upsala Facebook page. Roll your garbage carts and/or recycling to the end of your driveway/alley, Mondays by 6:00 a.m. Face the lid opening toward the street/alley and handle toward the house.

ANNUAL
CLEAN-UP
DAY

The City of Upsala hosts a clean-up day usually held on a Saturday, the beginning of June at the Upsala Recreation Building. This is a great way to get rid of old computers and other electronics , grills and old and unwanted furniture. This is for Upsala residents only so be prepared to show an ID with an address. Watch the city's newsletter for more details on dates and costs.

The recycling do's and don'ts

WHAT CAN I RECYCLE?

  • Clean glass bottles and jars

  • Metal cans

  • #1 and #2 plastic bottles with a narrow neck

  • Paper - newspaper, office, junk mail, magazines, paper food boxes, cardboard.

  • Polystyrene

  • Food, liquids or yard waste

  • Carpet, cloth or textiles

  • Plates, mugs and pots/pans

  • Food-soiled cardboard, paper cups/plates

  • Used paper towels/tissues

  • Electronic waste

  • Bubble wrap
